Hey everyone, I wanted to let you all know that I am the new Denver Telecommuting Examiner Writer. For those of you not aware of Examiner, it is a website that offers local news and information and they assign different freelance writers to different categories in each city. But just because I am the Denver Telecommuting Examiner doesn't mean that my articles will not apply to all of you out there that live somewhere else. My first article was posted yesterday about "How to avoid work from home scams" so for all of you out there new to telecommuting, it can clue you in on some things to watch out for. Here is the link to my page there.

I have had a few people ask me lately how I got into writing online, I now write for two freelance companies plus Examiner. It is actually pretty amusing to me that I ended up doing freelance writing and many of you probably think you need to be a professional journalist or something to get a job like this but I am far from it. My husband who actually is a professional journalist could attest to this as well.
I know when you first start looking for a telecommuting job it is a little overwhelming and seems that you will never find anything but don't give up. Tomorrow I will share my work-from-home history, which companies I have worked for and what I liked and didn't like about them. I have been working from home for nine years now so over time I think I have pretty much tried it all so I enjoy sharing my experiences with others. Any questions are welcome.
