Money Saving Monday

A great way to save money on eating out or other things that you do on a regular basis is to find a way to get those things for cheaper. I always search for coupons for restaurants or activities we are going to before we go. Many restaurants or children's activities have deals or coupons posted online. Without these our family would not be able to afford to do nearly the amount of things we do now.

One site I ran across last year that I have used quite a bit is Groupon. They offer one local daily deal a day that is emailed to you. It may be a deal for a local restaurant, hair salon, local business, etc. Many of their deals are 50% off or more. The deal will have a certain number of people that need to purchase it in order for the deal to be on. I try to buy the ones that I know are places I will be visiting anyways. Currently Groupon is in over 60 cities so check it out and see if they offer deals in your city and then sign up to get the daily email alerts to see what the deal of the day is.

Another website that is very similar to Groupon is called Living Social. They also send out a email with a daily deal alert for local businesses near you. Sign up to receive their emails as well. Both Groupon and Living Social deals can also be purchased as gifts for others.

I have a few other websites I use to get great deals on things as well that I will share next Monday.
