Brandchannel is hiring freelance writers to contribute one to three posts a day to brandchannel.com. Posts must be 200 to 500 words and include an image (we’ll source), links, and writer byline. The site’s focus is brands and branding by covering emerging stories, issues, and trends that offer a distinct, and occasionally quirky, take on branding. Brandchannel contributors must be able to quickly write copy that is focused, lively, and compelling to a branding or marketing professional. Candidates with expertise in the marketing and branding industry are highly desirable. A journalistic sensibility combined with a blogger’s lively turn of phrase is imperative, as is speed in keeping with our tagline, “Always branding. Always on,” our turnaround on copy, from pitch to filing to posting, is tight! A keen understanding of brandchannel’s readership and coverage is crucial, as is experience with SEO, blogging and keywords. Compensation is $25 per post, with the opportunity to write longer-length pieces for more after proving your chops on our home page.
