Lap Desk Review and Giveaway
All of you that follow my blog here know that I have worked from home for years and some of you know that we also homeschool our four kids. All in all that makes for a busy day and sometimes more hours sitting down than I would like. Recently, I had the chance to review a couple of lapdesks from Lapgear. We have never used lapdesks around the house before but now that I have them, I am not sure why I didn’t get them sooner. Using a lapdesk is not only more comfortable but it also allows your laptop to stay cooler.
The first lapdesk we tried out was the Lapdesk Platinum Series 500. It looks really small but it can hold up to a 17.3 inch laptop so our little 10 inch netbooks fit on there easily. The bottom of it is really cushioned and feels a lot nicer than a laptop sitting on your lap. The bright colors it is available in make it a great choice if you have a college student that works on their laptop a lot.
The other lapdesk we had the chance to review was the Multi-Purpose Euro-Style LapDesk. It is larger and can hold up to a 20 inch laptop. The top of it is wooden so it is a much more classic look to it. The padding on this one has a little bit different feel to it with micro-beading that conforms to your lap. The nice thing about the large size is that the kids can fit a book and a pad of paper on it while they are working on homework but yet it still fits on their lap nicely.
They are both great products and if you other work at home Moms sit on the couch like me a lot with that laptop propped on your lap, you definitely need one. Luck for you all, I am also giving away a lapdesk from LapGear to one lucky reader. The lucky winner will receive a Platinum series lapdesk in a color of the winner’s choice.
This giveaway is open to US Residents age 18 and over. Use the Rafflecopter entry form below to enter.

December 6, 2012 at 4:17 pmI like the idea of the kids using a Lapdesk for homework so we aren’t limited to working at the table.

December 6, 2012 at 10:15 pmI love to write while I lay in bed with my laptop perched on my knees, so I’d use my lapdesk to make that especially comfortable.

December 7, 2012 at 3:19 amI would probably use it the most. I catch up on my email and school work in the evenings in bed. I’ve had a hard time finding a lap desk I really like.
